GALA Awards 2009

The GALAS are Ireland's first annual awards, set up by the NLGF (National Lesbian & Gay Federation), to honour lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgendered people and organisations for their contributions to Irish society, both north and south of the border. The awards are also to honour politicians, employers and other people who are committed to advancing equality and social acceptance for LGBT Irish people in Ireland.
The inaugural GALA awards will be held on September 25th, 2009 in the Radisson Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8 and will be hosted by Derek Mooney and Katherine Lynch with other special guests.
