Participants required for Research Study on LGBT parental support

The study is being carried out as part of a 4th year dissertation within Waterford Institute of Technology.

The purpose of the study is to examine the dynamics and qualities of perceived parental social support from the perspective of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals and their sexual behaviours.

All information collected will be kept strictly private and confidential and will only be accessible and used by the researcher Christine Connolly christineconnolly@hotmail.com for the sole purpose of her thesis.

Criteria

1. All participants must be living in Ireland at time of participation.

2. All participants must be at least 18 years of age at time of participation.

3. They must have self identified as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender during adolescents to at least 1 parent or guardian. For the purpose of this study adolescents will be defined as between 10-21 years.

4. Participants must have lived with at least 1 parent or guardian (even part time) during their adolescent years (10-21years).
