Hold your own Wedding Breakfast
You may remember that last summer we launched our "Wedding Breakfasts for marriage Equality" appeal as a way to raise much needed funds to keep the campaign alive. Well we had so much fun last year having breakfasts with friends and family that we've decided to re-launch the campaign this July!
This year we've made it even easier for you. With the help of our friends in Fire Restaurant in Dublin, if you decide to host a Wedding Breakfast for Marriage Equality, they will provide a box of mini pastries and coffee for you free! All you have to do is arrange to collect it.
What's involved I hear you ask? Well, you've heard of a wedding reception, you've probably been to a few yourself, although you can't have one if you're lesbian or gay, but you'd like to think that one day soon, marrying your partner will be an option. (Back in the day, a wedding reception was actually called a wedding breakfast. No prizes for guessing why, it was held in the morning.)
It's as simple as inviting six or more friends over to your home for a breakfast or brunch, asking for a minimum donation of €20 each and hey presto, you've just successfully fundraised for Marriage Equality so we can pay for more campaigns like "We are Family".
If you think this is a runner, you might find that on the actual day, guests want to know more about equal civil marriage rights for 
same sex couples and we can provide you with information and TD packs to answer all their questions and if any questions arise at your wedding breakfast that aren't answered by the information that we send you, please do feel free to contact us anytime, we're always here for you.
So if you've read this far you might be thinking 'what next'? Some tips on what to do follow;
1) Set a date well in advance to give people time.
2) Contact us to arrange pick up /delivery of your free Coffee & Pastries box
3) Pick 6+ friends who you think would be interested and interesting, give them a call and invite them over.
4) Don't forget to collect the donations. We can provide envelopes.
5) Call us if you want information packs on marriage equality for same sex couples in Ireland.
6) Enjoy yourself and tell your friends about it, hopefully they might hold a wedding breakfast too!
