Invest in History and help us win a YES vote! Donate Now
About the national fundraising Campaign
We cannot allow this opportunity to slip by. We have just a few short weeks left to highlight that the current laws are wrong and unfair.
Donations from people who believe in marriage equality will decide the outcome of the forthcoming referendum according to campaigners who have launched a crowd-funding text service. The #ShareTheLove fundraiser will invite supporters to make donations by texting a dedicated number and will be promoted across social media as well as in community centres, pubs and clubs across the country.
The Campaign will culminate with a day of action on Valentine’s Day. “#ShareTheLove invites people to invest in history by making a small donation which will help secure a yes vote in the referendum. This year celebrate Valentine’s Day by donating and supporting Marriage Equality. The funds raised will be used for a campaign which will put the case for change before voters. By increasing awareness we can together ensure that this Valentine’s Day will be the last for our laws of discrimination.
Through #ShareTheLove we plan to show that changing history can be within everyone’s grasp and not the preserve of groups or organisations with millions of euro at their disposal. A community funded campaign is the best way to achieve that. I encourage everyone not only to text in, but to get their partners, family and friends involved.
By Sharing The Love we can together write the final chapter in this campaign for equality.”
