New York Couple resort to Civil Disobedience for Gay Marriage Rights

Looking to press the case for marriage equality in New York, a same-sex couple staged a brief sit-in at a clerk's office Apr. 28.
Dan Pinello and Lee Nissensohn, ages 58 and 50 respectively, were ticketed for trespassing. Their sit-in at the Oyster Bay clerk's office lasted about two hours whilst outside a crowd of about 60 people demonstrated, braving a downpour carrying signs and chorusing, "Let Dan and Lee marry!"
