Step Three - Visit TDs
Tell your stories - how being banned from Civil Marriage impacts on your everyday life and ask them these questions:
- Do you believe in equality?
- Do you believe it is OK to discriminate against me, my partner and my family?
- Will you bring this up with your party members and support quality for gay and lesbian people through the provision of access to civil marriage either by changing the Civil Registration Act or other legislative action?
Make sure to tell them that civil partnership is not marriage.
