5 February 2015 - 7 May 2015, 6:15 PM

GAZE International LGBT Film Festival, in collaboration with access>CINEMA, tours campaigning marriage equality documentary The Case Against 8.

GAZE, Ireland’s longest running and largest annual LGBT film festival, and access>CINEMA, a resource organisation for regional cultural film exhibition, are delighted to work together to bring this important documentary to audiences in this most significant year for the Irish LGBT community.

With the support of The Community Foundation of Ireland, GAZE On Tour is an initiative that presents highlights of the annual Dublin-based August bank holiday weekend Film Festival to regional audiences. Now in its third successful year, GAZE On Tour, in collaboration with access>CINEMA, is expanding its efforts to reach new audiences across Ireland.

he Case Against 8
Dir: Ben Cotner, Ryan White
A behind-the-scenes look inside the historic case to overturn California's ban on same-sex marriage, known as Proposition 8. The high-profile trial first makes headlines with the unlikely pairing of Ted Olson and David Boies, political foes who last faced off as opposing attorneys in Bush v. Gore. The film also follows the plaintiffs, two gay couples who find their families at the center of the same-sex marriage controversy. Five years in the making, this is the story of how they took the first federal marriage equality lawsuit to the U.S. Supreme Court.
