Moninne Griffith - Director

Moninne GriffithMoninne Griffith is the Director with Marriage Equality and leads in the running of the organisation.

As part of her role, Moninne manages the legal, mobilisation and communications work for Marriage Equality.

Moninne has travelled across Ireland to engage directly with all sections of Ireland's diverse community to ensure the important messages of the organisation are heard and understood. Moninne liaises with similar organisations across the globe to ensure Marriage Equality is following codes of best practice and learns from their successes, and even failings. Furthermore, Moninne has met countless trade unions, statutory organisations, NGOs, and political parties to build support for equality for same sex couples, families and our children.

Before moving to the not-for-profit sector, Moninne was a practicing solicitor for almost ten years. She also volunteered for Women's Aid and the Free Legal Advice Centres. Moninne holds a BCL from UCD, was admitted to the role of solicitors in 1998 and since then completed an MA in Women's Studies in 2007. She is currently a Board member of the National Women's Council of Ireland.

Dawn Quinn - Administrator and Volunteer Manager

Dawn QuinnDawn has worked with Marriage Equality since June 2008. She works very closely with the Director of Marriage Equality to administer the office, including general office management, dealing with queries, updating accounts and general administrative duties.

She is central to the Marriage Equality TD Campaign and manages the volunteers who work on the telephone lines.

Her role also extends to raising awareness of Marriage Equality at certain key events and carrying out fundraising-related tasks.

Dawn worked in a number of different administrative roles and holds a BA in Audio Visual Communications and an MA in Comparative Ethnic Conflict.

Kirsten Fjoser - Communications Officer

kirsten profileKirsten joined the Marriage Equality team in October 2010.

Working closely with the rest of the team, Kirsten is responsible for managing Marriage Equality's communications work. This includes Marriage Equality's website, newsletter and social media channels as well as selected media relations and fundraising efforts.

She has worked in a number of different roles in the charity sector, and holds a BA in International Relations, an MPhil in Ethnic and Racial Studies, and a PGDip in Public Relations and Event Management.
